Inaugural Inter-Club Relay Competition a Splashing Success at Dandenong Oasis!

On Saturday 8 August, four local swimming clubs came together at Dandenong Oasis for the inaugural Inter-Club Relay Competition, enjoying a fantastic morning of swimming, teamwork and club spirit.

Oasis Otters, Cardinia Piranhas, Boronia Penguins and SEA Aquatics joined forces for an action-packed event featuring exciting team relay races, with an impressive 154 swimmers taking to the pool.

The competition was much more than racing. Throughout the morning, swimmers, coaches and families created an incredible atmosphere, with enthusiastic cheering from the sidelines and strong support between clubs. It was wonderful to see swimmers encouraging one another, working together as teams and proudly representing their clubs.

Congratulations to Oasis Otters Swimming Club, who were crowned Round 1 champions after accumulating the highest number of points across the competition. Their outstanding performance earned them the inaugural Perpetual Trophy, making a fantastic achievement for the club.

Following the success of the event, the Inter-Club Relay Competition will become a regular fixture, with each of the four participating clubs taking turns to host the competition quarterly. The series will provide swimmers with a valuable opportunity to build friendships, strengthen connections across clubs and enjoy friendly competition in a fun and supportive environment.

A huge thank you to the coaches, committee members and volunteers from all four clubs whose collaboration made the inaugural event such a success.
